everyday ways to use your oils

Simple ideas for your home, your family and yourself, using the oils in your starter kit.

Before you start

You don't need to try all hundred. Pick two or three that fit your day, make them a habit, then come back for more. Most of the ideas use the same handful of oils, so you'll get to know them quickly.

Three ways to use an oil

Diffuse

3–5 drops in a diffuser with water. The easiest place to start.

Breathe in

A drop in your palms, rub them together, cup them over your nose and breathe slowly.

On your skin

Always mixed with a carrier oil such as fractionated coconut oil first.

A simple dilution guide

WhoDrops of oil per teaspoon (5ml) of carrier oil
Adults, everyday use1–3 drops
Older children and sensitive skin1 drop, or less
Hot oils (Oregano, On Guard)1 drop per tablespoon (15ml), adults only

For babies and young children, check the age guidance on the label and ask your advocate before using anything on their skin.
